Tends equipment that aplpies and dries strip of friction paint
(striking material) on cards of matchbook covers and matchbox
slides: Loads stack of cards into machine feed magazine.
Observes machine feed to preevnt jam of cards on conveyor.
Inspcets friction paint coverage for specified thickness of
application, and adjusts friction paint feedwheels, using
handtools. Removes paper dust and dirt from revloving feedwheels
with knife.
Fills machine reservoir with friction panit. Turns
staem valves and reads gauge to maintain specified temperature
in conveyor-drier.
